Accessibility Statement
Last updated: December 11, 2025
AccessAudit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
We practice what we preach: This website is built with accessibility as a core requirement, not an afterthought.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
AccessAudit aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards.
WCAG 2.1 & 2.2 Level AA
We use our own AccessAudit scanner to continuously monitor and maintain compliance.
This website has been tested using the following methods:
- Automated scanning with AccessAudit (our own tool)
- Automated scanning with axe DevTools
- Manual keyboard navigation testing
- Screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver)
- Color contrast verification
- Responsive design testing (mobile, tablet, desktop)
Dogfooding: We regularly scan accessaudit.io with AccessAudit to ensure we meet the same standards we help our users achieve.
Keyboard Navigation: All functionality is accessible via keyboard
Screen Reader Support: Semantic HTML and ARIA labels throughout
Color Contrast: Meets WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 for normal text)
Focus Indicators: Clear visual focus states on all interactive elements
Responsive Design: Works on all device sizes and orientations
Alt Text: All images have descriptive alternative text
Dark Mode: Supports user's preferred color scheme
While we strive for full accessibility, we're aware of some limitations:
- Some complex data visualizations may require alternative text descriptions
- Third-party integrations (Stripe, authentication) may have their own accessibility considerations
We are actively working to address these issues and welcome your feedback.
